We communicate throughout the whole process, sending daily updates along with pictures of the progress. Coastal Floors provide FULL service, from the prep work to the clean-up. We take great pride in leaving the job cleaner than when we arrived.

Acclimation

Hardwood flooring needs to acclimate to the environment of the room where it will be installed. The flooring materials should be delivered to the site at least 48 hours prior to installation and stored in the room. This allows the wood to adjust to the temperature and humidity conditions of the space, preventing potential issues like warping or shrinking after installation.

Tear Out And Subfloor Prep

Before starting the installation, it's important to prepare the space. This involves removing any existing flooring, including carpet, tiles, or laminate. The subfloor should be clean, level, and dry. If necessary, the subfloor may need to be repaired or sanded to ensure a smooth surface for the hardwood.

Installation
