Why Coastal Floors Started
Coastal Floors started from a simple idea: Hampton Roads homeowners deserve a flooring company that does every job with its own crew, quotes one price and leaves the house clean.
Before starting Coastal Floors, Max spent years learning the trade from the ground up, from checking raw subfloors to rolling on the final coat of finish. Along the way he kept seeing the same things his customers complain about now: contractors who send crews they've never met, quote one price and charge another, and leave a layer of dust behind.
Coastal Floors was built to be the opposite. Every project is run by the owner. No subcontractors. No surprise invoices. Every quote is written and exact before work starts. Prep and seal-off
Base shoe comes off, doorways are sealed with sheeting and HVAC vents are covered.
HEPA sanding
Lägler drum and edge sanders run straight into commercial HEPA vacuums that catch 97–99% of the dust.
Stain samples on your floor
You pick the color from samples on your own boards, not a brochure.
Sealer and finish coats
A sealer coat, then 2–3 coats of Bona, Loba or Berger-Seidle finish, lightly screened between coats.
Walkthrough
Trim goes back on, the house is cleaned, and we walk every room with you before we pack up.
